Monique Harris has been the one steady user who has tested our switches and has been supportive and generous with her time from day one of the FlexAbility project.
She is an artist and activist. She is a woman with cerebral palsy who wants more options than the use of her head wand while working on the computer. After speaking with her at Ability Now about what we were doing and capable of, she requested large buttons to act as a mouse. The buttons would move the cursor in 8 directions and provide mouse-clicks.
Below are posts that construct a rough timeline of meetings with Monique, tests, and design iterations.
